My husband Mel, used to keep racing pigeons and had several lofts to house them all. When he decided to give the sport up the lofts became vacant, he slowly started to get into showing and breeding poultry and took over most of the abandoned lofts. His new hobby got a little out of control and he had to specialise in a couple of breeds so the lofts became vacant once more.
This time it was me who decided to take them over as a rabbitry, luckily for me he is very good at woodwork so was able to build me purpose built hutches for my show stock, with partitions that can be removed to house breeding stock and growing litters.
Unfortunately like the poultry you have to breed many rabbits to get good show stock so one rabbit shed became 2 and now I need my 3rd !! which he has promised faithfully he will now hand over to me. (and of course build me a new set of hutches) :)
